I wanted to capture the mass tourism in Venice alongside the grand canal. Always great to paint contre-jour looking towards the Salute, alongside the Doge Palace. There's obviously some locals walking their dog and plenty of pigeons about. I've seen on a couple of occasions people falling into the canal on the slippy steps just behind me here!
