Blackpool Pleasure Beach

I used my largest ‘open box m’ pochade for this 20"x30" painting...seemed to work well with the help of elastic bands.

A busy scene here with the passing cars and Mermaid illuminations hanging from the lampposts. There's a tram in the distant right that felt the need to toot its horn every time it passed by, for safety I guess as I'm right on the track edge.

The spiral staircase has been out of use for many years, with its Casino signage coming down from above. The main entrance to the park is at centre where the yellow smiley sun face is, with Noah's Ark just out of view
